You are cordially invited to attend Apollo Science's Alternative Energy Convention on Wednesday, April 27th in Milton Ms/Hs' Library. Students have been working diligently to create a project that demonstrates how a particular type of alternative energy source works. We would like you to join us and share in their learning. Students will present their projects during their scheduled science class time. Please consult with them as to what time you should attend. Our class times are listed below:

1) 7:50-8:50 (Ravens-8th grade group)
2) 8:50-9:50 (Hawks-7th grade group)
3) 10:00-11:00 (Crows-7th grade group)
4) 11:00-12:00 (Snakes-8th grade group)

We hope to see you there!

3/14 & 3/15 Math

7th grade
Students used tables, graphs, and equations to locate the point of intersection between two sets of data.

8th grade

Students completed their unit test on congruency and transforming coordinate points and figures by reflection, rotation, and translation.

Have a great April break, see you the 25th!

4/14 Science

Students should have completed the "Energy Transformation" and "Pros/Cons" graphic organizers for their project. Educational research tells us that children benefit greatly from having meaningful conversations about their learning with important adults in their lives. To that end, your child will present to you artifacts of their learning from the second quarter - work from each class that he or she has thoughtfully selected to demonstrate learning and growth. Your child will also discuss their progress with the Habits of Mind we have been working on this year.

Sign up here

3/9 Math

7th Grade
Quiz today: adding positive and negative numbers.

8th Grade
Students will be writing a reflection to summarize what they learned in Investigation 1.
