Apollo Science

This week in Apollo Science, students will identify germs as an agent for causing sickness.  They will investigate how washing their hands affects the spread of germs using a germ-simulating gel.  The gel will show places on their hands that germs are likely to collect.  On Tuesday or Wednesday, the school nurses will discuss with students how they should wash their hands.  Students are expected to apply this knowledge for an upcoming project that is designed to display their scientific knowledge and to help stop the spread of germs like the H1N1 virus within the community.
