This week, students have been practicing adding, subtracting, multiplying and diving positive and negative numbers.

8th grade

This week, students have been learning how to construct line reflection, rotation, and translation symmetry transformations.

Today, ALL students learned basic accounting principles to assist them in their fundraising efforts for the upcoming 8th grade Boston field trip.

3/16 Science

Students should look at the first half of the suggested focus questions (1,3,4,6-8,13-16 & 18-21)on the science wiki tonight for review. Continue with the second half tomorrow night! Try to answer the questions without looking at your notes first. If you need help answering the questions, then look at your notes, click on the links, ask a peer or me. I suggest paying closer attention to questions 13,14,18,19,20,21! They are at the heart of what the test will be about!

3/15 Science

Students should complete the conclusion questions on the back of today's lab, "chemical changes in a bag." This assignment is due at the beginning of class tomorrow.

We hope you can attend a Student-Led Conference on the evening of Wednesday March 16 or Thursday March 17 in the school library. Educational research tells us that children benefit greatly from having meaningful conversations about their learning with important adults in their lives. To that end, your child will present to you artifacts of their learning from the second quarter - work from each class that he or she has thoughtfully selected to demonstrate learning and growth. Your child will also discuss their progress with the Habits of Mind we have been working on this year.
